		<description>Hi Paulette

All the tours are listed on the main CoachToursAmerica website.

So for example the NC lighthouse tour is located at

http://www.coachtoursamerica.com/tours/681_NC_LIGHTHOUSES.html

I think from nowone we should put a direct link from each blog post to the actual tour its talking about :-)

Thanks

<description>Wow, what a trip, we started out and hopped off the coach for some delicious coffee and subs in Wisconsin before heading off to Chesterton where we had the most fantastic welcome dinner, all ready for the day of travelling the next day. During the travelling on the second day I got friendly with a few of the other travellers and found out more about them so the time just flew, we reached the Appalachian Mountains as night was falling and I got an amazing view of the mountains - glad I took my camera!

Day three was filled with historic drama as we were told all about the Battle of Gettysburg and enjoyed a guided tour of the cemetery and the battlefield, it was awe inspiring to think of all the brave men that were buried there. After lunch we set off to Washington for an extended 3 night stay, we got there before dinner and had time to freshen up before we ate then went on the Illumination Tour of the city which was great.

While we were in Washington we did it all - the White House, the Vietnam Memorial, Embassy Row, Arlington Cemetary, the Tomb of the Unknown Solider - the list goes on. It’s a good job that we got our deluxe continental breakfasts each morning otherwise I wouldn’t have had the energy for all the sightseeing we did.

We also got an afternoon of free time and I picked up some souvenirs for my family and friends back home. On day 6 we also crossed Chesapeake Bay to Delaware on the Lewes Ferry which was really fun even though the water was a little choppy for my liking! The boardwalk was so much fun and I could have stayed there for a week, but it was time to move onto New York, one of the parts of the trip that I was really looking forward to. We stopped off in Philadelphia and saw the Liberty Bell and I took some great pictures outside Congress Hall. We got to New York and had a free night, so we took advantage and took a walk around, I can’t quite believe just how big some of those skyscrapers are!

Day 8 in New York was everything I wanted it to be, we went to the Statue of Liberty (I was too scared to go to the top), Ellis Island and plenty of shops, I don’t even want to see my credit card bill when it comes! At night we had such a great time, we went to the Tavern on the Green for dinner and it was delicious, then we went to see a Broadway play, I felt like a film star all dressed up.

We spent day 9 travelling to Niagara Falls, the Canadian side, and we got to see them lit up at night – I’ve never seen anything like it in my life. I hope that my pictures do it justice. We then got to have wander before dinner and relax a little.

The next day we went to see the Floral Clock then we turned back to the US visiting the home of an auto baron before we reached our hotel. For the next day we were travelling through Chicago and stayed at the Wingate Inn which was so comfortable, I wish I was here for another 2 weeks.

Our last day was spent (after a huge continental breakfast!) saying goodbye to the friends we made and swapping addresses, then it was the flight home. Luckily we landed early and we were back at home by early evening - ready to try and sleep off the jetlag. All in all a fantastic holiday and I can’t wait to book my next trip.
